This is where I'm at as of this morning. Most of the base colour is down except for the 5 barrels because errm i forgot about them, opps!
This thing has used a monster amount of masking tape, it used so much i ran out and had to wait for more. I haven't tidied up any of the over spray yet thats the next job for forgive the odd pink splodge. The job sheet goes something like this;
Over spray clean up
Make/solider/paint rails and aerial
Paint chipping/ware effect
shadowing
weathering
Jeweling (cockpit glass, lenses)
Seal
Sound like a small list but it becomes quite involved and time consuming.
OMG!!! by far you're best paint job!! And it's not even complete yet... very very good job sir.
ReplyDeleteHi!
ReplyDeleteUtterly fantastic looking mech and paint-job in progress there! I do wish that the Battletech range would get a much needed revamp after almost thirty years and the sculpts are often a bit on the wonky side too!
You are showing how it should be done!
Cant wait to see it finished!
Yes IWM could do with an across the board update and move to injection molding. Mine are on a much bigger scale so not as tricky to produce good looking models.
